How to Set Custom Ringtone for Android

This post is going to teach you how to set a custom ringtone for android without touching any system files or rooting the phone.

This is pretty simple, you only need to download and install an app from the market, it's Zedge android app, you can download this from the market for free. Setting up is a breeze, once you have installed it you can immediately download any wallpapers and ringtone including notification tones to your phone.

The next time you want to change your ringtone it will offer you to choose your default application for setting tones, you only have to choose Zedge and it will give you all your downloaded tones.

How to set Go Keyboard as default keyboard

So this is a post that points to the problem of having a custom keyboard for your android device. It has been a problem of mine since I have updated my phone from Eclair 2.1 to Gingerbread custom ROM 2.3.7, and I am loving this ROM. We all know that the eclair keyboard was the best keyboard, I haven't tried using the froyo keyboard because I updated my phone directly to 2.3 Gingerbread. What I don't like about the Gingerbread keyboard is that it's a hassle for me to type on portrait because it makes the keys smaller since it doesn't change the QWERTY keyboard.

So right now I am gonna share with you how I managed to make Go keyboard as my default keyboard, usually when you install the Go keyboard it usually goes back to default keyboard when you reboot your phone. But this time it's permanent, I have encountered many people having the same problem with this keyboard.

Here's the steps:

1. Download the Link2SD app, it's free in the android market.

2. Download the Go Keyboard, it's also free in the android market.

3. Install Go Keyboard on the internal disk not on the SD card.

4. Open Link2SD and then find the android keyboard app, and then tap actions and then select Freeze.

This should stop your default keyboard from activating after reboot. In any event that you have installed keyboard tones to your Go keyboard, sorry to say but it still goes back to the default tone. But at least you don't have to worry about reactivating your Go keyboard over and over.
